Whether you are a weekend hacker, or a tour player, you'll find what you need at the NQ Academy of Golf . Tailored packages are available to suit your personal needs and all members of the public are welcome.

Director of Golf at Paradise Palms is Des Shearer, he is joined by Teaching Professional's Neil McCree and Graham Bolton.

Always ready to help, coaches are available 7 Days a week for all your golfing needs. A simple yet effective approach will both greatly improve your knowledge of the game and help you gain more enjoyment from your golf.

All  NQ Academy of Golf coaches are "AAA" members of the Australian PGA and have worked with some of the world’s best with the most recent being Hank Haney, coach of the world’s #1 player Tiger Woods. So take the opportunity and tap into the wealth of knowledge and experience on offer.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are the best option if you’re serious about improving your game, be it anything from putting and chipping, short and mid irons or the long game. Des’s coaching technique does not include the quick-fix solution. To gain a consistent swing you need to make fundamental changes to your technique. Good coaching and a plan to achieve your goals will produce results.

½ Hour Lesson - $60.00 ($35pp Twin share)
For beginners to advanced players who need to adjust a specific area of their game or seeking a minor swing correction.

1 Hour Lesson - $110.00 ($60pp Twin share)
For beginner to advanced golfers ready to make fundamental swing changes. Also receive your swing changes on video using DARTFISH Advanced Video Analysis Software

4 x 30 min Lessons- $220.00 ($110pp Twin share)
Ideal for the begginer player to learn the basic fundamentals of the game.

6 x 30 min Lessons- $300.00 ($165pp Twin share)

3 x 1 hour Lessons- $300.00 ($165pp Twin share)

5 x 1 hour Lessons + 9 hole Playing Lesson- $650.00 ($350pp Twin share-includes green fee and club hire if required)

Playing Lessons
The best route to learning golf course management is by playing a round with a Golf Professional. Des will explain how to approach each hole showing you how to plan your shot of the tee. How to choose the right club for the next shot and choice landing area. Learn how to pick a target that minimises the damage from a poor shot and techniques for getting out of trouble as quickly as possible. Short game tips are the key to good scoring.

9 Holes - $250.00  ($160pp twin share) 
18 Holes - $449.00 ($289pp twin share)

Golf Schools

1/2 Day Game Improvement School

Cost: $200pp twin share (singles $360)       

Times are flexible 

8-10am:           Video Swing analysis and fault identification and correction

10-11am:         Morning Tea

11-1:15pm:      OPTION 1-9 hole playing lesson-Course management, shot selection and game analysis (additional $50 green fee)

OPTION 2-Short game session chipping, putting and bunker play

Full Day Game Improvement School

Cost: $300pp twin share (Singles $540)    

8am-10am:       Swing analysis and fault identification

10-10.30am:    Morning Tea

10.30-12.15:    Short game, Putting and bunker play

12.15-1pm:      Lunch

OPTION 1-

1.00-3pm        9 hole playing lesson-Course management, shot selection and game analysis

3-5pm:            Swing analysis, fault correction and emphasis on problem areas identified during day

OPTION 2-

1.00-5pm        18 hole playing lesson-Course management, shot selection and game analysis

The above packages can be altered to meet specific areas requested by the customer.

3 & 5 Day Golf Schools are also available on application, these programs are tailored to meet individual needs.

Corporate Events 

Whether you are planning to entertain clients or gather the employees for a day away from the office, we can help you create an exciting and fun-filled event. Enjoy pre-round golf tips with supervised practice on the range, or short game clinics. Have a professional play with a group or groups advising on any aspect of the game. Our professionals can also be used for novelty events such as "Beat the Pro".

DARTFISH Video Analysis Software
Give your clients something to remember!
During your days play our Golf Professional Des Shearer will play a “Beat the Pro” event with each group and will also capture all players’ swings. Players will receive a video of their swings with a personal swing evaluation via email.
